Coffee Meets Cocktail: BLOOM Night at TaiKwun!
A Spirited Celebration of Mikael Jasin Book Launch
Loveramics TaiKwun Store transformed into a vibrant hub of connection and creativity on October 28 as we hosted the Hong Kong launch of BLOOM: Mikael Jasin on Coffee as Agent of Change. This special evening celebrated not only the release of Mikael Jasin’s deeply personal and inspiring book, but also the spirit of collaboration and innovation that defines the global coffee community.

BLOOM: Mikael Jasin on Coffee as Agent of Change BLOOM is a deeply personal and philosophical reflection on the power of coffee. It’s not a technical guide or a competition diary, it’s a narrative that blends memoir, mindfulness, and advocacy. Mikael shares his journey from working in Melbourne cafés to becoming a global coffee ambassador, and how coffee helped him navigate uncertainty, build resilience, and find purpose.
Mikael also explores how coffee can empower communities—from farmers and producers to baristas and entrepreneurs. He advocates for ethical sourcing, storytelling, and design as tools to elevate the coffee experience and create meaningful change. At the heart of BLOOM lies a deep commitment to mindfulness. Mikael Jasin invites readers to approach coffee not merely as a beverage, but as a moment of presence — a ritual that encourages us to slow down, reflect, and engage with intention. Through mindful brewing, he illustrates how each step in the process can become a practice of awareness and renewal, transforming the everyday act of making coffee into a meaningful experience.
Earlier this year, Loveramics partnered with Mikael to bring his coffee philosophy to life through design. The result was the Mikael Jasin Tasting Cup — a vessel crafted to embody the spirit of “Breath In, Brew Out.” The cup features a lower, wider and handle-less silhouette, encouraging a slower, more sensory experience. Its open form allows aromas to bloom fully, while the unique refraction of the porcelain enhances visual clarity. It’s a cup designed not just for drinking, but for feeling. Every detail reflects Mikael’s belief that brewing coffee is an intentional act — one that deserves thoughtful design. A Night to Remember: BLOOM Launch at Loveramics TaiKwun As the sun set over Hong Kong’s historic TaiKwun district, our store came alive with energy and warmth. We gathered to meet Mikael, get the books signed, and exchange stories over celebratory drinks. The atmosphere was electric — filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and cups raised in joyful toasts.

The event was a true reflection of what the Loveramics TaiKwun Store stands for: not just a retail space, but a community hub. It’s a place where ideas bloom, where people connect, and where coffee culture comes to life. |
A Toast to Innovation: Georgius Audrey Teja Joins the Celebration Adding a dazzling highlight to the evening, we welcomed Georgius Audrey Teja, the 2025 World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion, representing Omakafe. Georgius brought his signature creativity to the bar with a trio of coffee cocktails that captivated the senses and elevated the experience.
Each cocktail was served in our newly launched Loveramics Cocktail Glass Range, designed to complement the artistry of modern mixology. Palo Santo was served in our Highball Glass over a pristine ice block, offering a bright, citrusy freshness with subtle woody notes.
Torch Ginger arrived in the 125ml Coupette Glass, garnished with leftover torch ginger powder—a floral, earthy, and aromatic delight.
Irish Coffee was elegantly poured into the 120ml Nick & Nora Glass, balancing rich espresso texture, mellow sweetness, and a velvety cream finish.
Together, Mikael and Georgius, two champions in their own right, blended their crafts into a multisensory experience that was both inspiring and unforgettable. Their collaboration reminded us that coffee, in all its forms, is a canvas for creativity. Loveramics at TaiKwun: Where Coffee Culture Blooms At Loveramics, we believe that design is a dialogue — between form and function, between maker and user, between tradition and innovation. Our TaiKwun Store is a living expression of that belief. It’s where stories are shared, where communities gather, and where every cup tells a story.
The BLOOM launch was more than an event — it was a celebration of what happens when passion meets purpose. We’re grateful to Mikael, Georgius, and everyone who joined us for this wonderful night. Here’s to more moments of connection, creativity, and coffee culture together! |
