In the afternoon of October 23rd, LOVERAMICS team was invited to attend the opening ceremony of Garden 27 by Alan Chan.  Alan Chan’s “Fleur Couture” lifestyle concept store presented an exclusive floral and botanic themed collection and gifting products selected by Alan throughout the world, bringing a stylish, contemporary, and unique living experience niche and cultural sophistication.

Address: 3rd Floor, No. 407, North Shanxi Road, Jing’an District, Shanghai

Open Time: 10:30am-7:30pm

Born in 1950, Alan Chan is one of the few Hong Kong-trained graphic designers who has achieved international recognition. The only academic training in graphic design that Chan has received was merely a ten-month evening course in HongKong back in 1970, and yet during his 30 years in advertising and design, he has won more than 500 local and international awards, including awards from the Communication Arts, the New York Art Directors Club, D & AD, the Tokyo Typedirectors Club, Japan Typography Association, the Hong Kong Designers Association, the HK4A’s and many others. In 1989, Alan was named Designer of the Year by the Hong Kong Artist Guild. His company was selected by the Graphics Ten Best design firms in the world for 1996. In 1997, his posters and watch designs were being included in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art as Permanent Collection of Architecture and Design.

The first and second floor is a multi-functional space named Light & Salt which combines book store, restaurant, bar, printing, and art gallery together. Garden 27 is on the third floor. It’s a open private museum more than a concept store for the reason that every single selection is picked by Alan from London, Paris, New York, and Tokyo.

LOVERAMICS is one of Alan’s favorites. In Garden 27, you’ll see the teapots of LOVERAMICS and other designing brands like Jaycow, Katy Village, ZOEE-Select from Hong Kong,  Amabro, AmanoShikki, DBros, Futagami, HirotaGlass, KamiNo Kousakujo, Naft, Nousaku, Studio Note from Japan, APPREE from Korea, Haoshi from Taiwan, Mary Lou from Thailand, and LeBaigneur, Papier Tigre from Paris.

Garden 27 is designed in a natural and easy way full of delightful living interests. Sitting on the balcony of Garden 27, you’ll feel the peace and beauty which is hard to be obtained by other places in the middle of the metropolis.
