Travel: World Barista Championship 2015 @Seattle, USA

The World Barista Championship (WBC) is the preeminent international coffee competition produced annually by World Coffee Events (WCE). The competition focuses on promoting excellence in coffee, advancing the barista profession, and engaging a worldwide audience with an annual championship event that serves as the culmination of local and regional events around the globe.

The world finals in 2015 was held in Seattle. We were selected to be the brew bar cups, which everyone who gets a hand brew in Seattle will be using our cups. We launched our newest collection, Bond in the event. Every get to try the single origins on stand in them.

The Champions round features our home town boy, Dawn Chan, who eventually got 4th. Sasa Sestic won it all, beating narrowly 2 North Americans, Charles Babinski and Ben Put. It was a nail-biter and everyone believed the top 6 were really close.

Overall results here:

Champion: Sasa Sestic, Australia

2nd: Charles Babinski, United States
3rd: Ben Put, Canada
4th: Chan Kwun Ho, Hong Kong
5th: Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood, United Kingdom
6th: Charlotte Malaval, France

The official souvenir, comes in the new Bond espresso and flat white cups with the WBC 2015 logos fired on.

Can't leave without a touristy photo of the Seattle fish monks.

View from the apartment, can't complain.
